Factoonio: A cartoon overhaul mod
Factorio is a factory-building game that focuses on expanding your factory. Normally, it looks dirty and grimy, but Factoonio adds some vibrant colour to the palette.
The goal was a cartoon style that was simplified, colourful and more entertaining than the stock experience. You’ll find some old and new graphics, and maybe even a gag or two along the way.
A mod with accessibility in mind
While colour was a primary update in the mod, accessible design was a second to help make the game more accessible to people with colourblindness or difficulty seeing. Shape, size, icons and contrast are all techniques used to help make the similar aspects of Factorio look distinct.
But When?
Factoonio has a long way to go. The game has a lot of detail built in that needs to be edited and animated. And, it will need to be optimized to it wont take forever to load in. This all takes time.
While slow, steady progress is being made so you can play it one day.
